Jerry Jones is the Executive Director of the Technology Services Division at the Sacramento County Office of Education. Jerry has over 17 years of experience managing technology departments and projects. His technical skills include the design and management of local and wide area networks, web application and SQL database servers (Linux and Microsoft), Storage Area Networks (SAN), virtual server infrastructures, and next-generation firewalls. He also has a background in building interactive, database-driven websites for large organizations. Jerry is certified in Network Administration from the University of California, Davis, and is a member of the CCSESA Technology and Telecommunications Steering Committee (TTSC).
As Director of Technology Projects, Andrea Willis oversees the production of Websites, online courses, Webcasts, online databases, and other media-related projects. Prior to working at SCOE, Andrea was the Coordinator of Distance Education at Sacramento City College. This background enables her to supervise technical and creative staff, oversee project timelines and budgets, and ensure the successful completion of technology-related products. Andrea graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in Educational Administration.
For over two decades, Raymond Fox has designed scores of SCOE Web sites and multi-media projects, including the People of Sacramento Archives CD-ROM and the Where Ya Goin' Online Game Show, both of which received the coveted Gold Addy Award. Raymond's official title is Multimedia Design Specialist, which allows hiim to keep his graphic design and illustration skills well honed (he illustrated the Keeping Schools Safe book). Raymond rounds out his skill set with voiceover work, having performed many of the voiceover tracks on the CDLP website. Before climbing on board with SCOE, Raymond ran his own graphic design company, Fox Works, and worked with high-profile clients such as KRXQ 98Rock and KSEG The Eagle.
Carolyn Foster is a Project Specialist II, Programming/Application Developer. She has developed many large, complex, but user-friendly, online database systems for clients such as the California Department of Education's Workability program, SCOE's phone billing system, and the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Sacramento Consortium.
Melinda Holt is a Project Specialist with more than 20 years of experience in providing technical support for a wide variety of hardware and software, database development and maintenance, Web site development, hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as developing, coordinating and presenting trainings and workshops both online and face-to-face.
Multimedia Design Specialist Mike Fox also has extensive background in audio production and music composition. Mike's company, Fox Productions, has composed music for scores of prominent clients such as JC Penney, Tower Records, The Sacramento Bee, Blue Diamond Almonds, Subway, and Atlantis Casino Resort. He is skilled with Flash, Premiere, and pro audio’s flagship program Pro Tools. His talents provide appealing and entertaining interactive Web sites and multimedia presentations.
